CHILDREN
Parents who want to be connected to children too young for a smarphone, might consider the Verizon Gizmo Watch 3. The $150 US (as of April 2025) watch has its own phone number that lets children call, text and video chat. Only parent-approved contacts can call or text with the child. The watch has no Internet access. Parents can install the GizmoHub app on their phone to see the child’s location on a map. There is a monthly fee. I have read that it is an excellent alternative to an Apple Watch.
