These tips, about withdrawing money from a cash machine, come from Brian Krebs in this September 2022 article about ATM skimmers: Say Hello to Crazy Thin ‘Deep Insert’ ATM Skimmers.

Thieves tend to install skimming devices on Saturdays after business hours because the bank won't be open again for more than 24 hours. If possible, avoid cash machines on Saturday evenings and Sundays.
When possible, stick to ATMs that are physically installed in a bank.
Most importantly, cover the PIN pad with your hand while you enter your pin/password. Many (all?) ATM skimmers include a camera focused on the PIN pad.
